Group comparisons have been conducted for the following regions of interest: right and left inferior frontal gyrus (IFG)/anterior insula (ant. insula), right inferior frontal junction (IFJ), and pre-supplemental motor area (pre-SMA). MNI coordinates are given in brackets. Strategy-dependent differences in prefrontal regions are present during attentional processing, whereas outright stopping results in indistinguishable brain activity patterns in all strategies. Error bars depict the SEM. The given p values are Bonferroni corrected for multiple comparisons.
