Schematic oleandrin effects on glioma. Oleandrin has direct effects on human GBM, reducing viability. It also stimulates neurons to release BDNF, which impairs tumor cell chemotaxis and modulates the tumor microenvironment. All of these effects contribute to reduce glioma growth in the mouse brain.
