The activity of purified GOR (0.006 mg/ml) was measured in the presence of cytoplasmic extract (S100, 0.174 mg/ml), heat-treated (95 °C for 60 min) cytoplasmic extract (HT-S100, 0.036 mg/ml), cytoplasmic extract washed using a 30-kDa membrane (> 30 kDa-S100, 0.325 mg/ml), and the flow-through material that passed through the 30-kDa membrane (<30 kDa-S100, protein was not measured), or partially purified PGK/TPI (C. bescii PGK/TPI, 0.002 mg/ml). The concentrations given in parentheses are the final concentration of each component in the assay cuvette.
