The synthesis of CA after genetic modification in strains of E.coli that allowed the production of two enzymes: 3-hydroxylase hydroxyphenylacetate (4HPA3H) and tyrosine ammonia lyase (TAL) that act on L-tyrosine producing p-coumaric acid and L-dopa, respectively.
