Infection of mosquito and vertebrate cells analysed by indirect immunofluorescence assay. Cells were infected by either CAAV or CHIKV (positive control) at an MOI of 1 for 72 h. Uninfected cells (Mock) were used as negative controls. The reaction was detected using an anti-alphavirus monoclonal antibody (cat. MAB8754, Merck) followed by Alexa-Fluor 488-conjugated anti-mouse IgG. Cell nuclei were stained with DAPI. Scale bar is 50 µm.
