H₂O₂ was measured in respiring mitochondria in basal conditions (no exogenous substrates) (A), and after successive additions of pyruvate plus malate (B), ADP (C), oligomycin (D), and FCCP (E), as shown on the abscissae. Data represents means ± SEM from 4 (Sham) or 6 experiments (CL, UUO) using different mitochondrial preparations. Statistical analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test. ****p<0.0001.
