In vivo evaluations of different formulations. a and b show proliferation index and IFN-gamma secretion when mediastinal lymph node cells of animals immunized with different formulations were re-stimulated with M.tb and MIP antigens. Similar experiments were performed with splenocytes and results are shown in (c and d). All the panels reinforce the observation that alginate coated mycobacterium generated more pronounced immune response compared to the aerosol of bacteria
