Figure 11:

Outlet periodicity for tube radii R = 50 μm (baseline case) and R = 25 μm for μ = 0.0295 g cm−1 sec−1, γ = 3.6 dyn cm−1, and α = 0.9. In both cases the driving pressure is identical (ΔP = 32547 dyn cm−2), the increased fluidic resistance resulting by the decreased radius causes the transition from p1 to higher orders to occur at a much larger Tin = 4.5 sec. Large symbols indicate transition region points.
