Bifurcation maps (a,c) and outlet periodicities (b,d) describing the substantial effects of the leg length ratio α = LLong/LShort for α = 0.98 (A and B, ΔP = 38600 dyn cm−2) and α = 0.75 (C and D, ΔP = 19700 dyn cm−2) at μ = 0.0295 g/cm sec, γ = 3.6 dyn cm−1, and R = 50 μm. Reducing the leg length ratio (increasing the disparity in lengths) results in a wider distribution of droplet spacing and higher-order periodicities at a given Tin.
