Effect of miRNA expression in adult Drosophila glia. All aging in this figure was performed at 29°C. Conversely, the coexpression of a mutated dominant-negative repo transgene, UAS-repoΔHD-myc, enhanced the shortening of lifespan due to miR-1 overexpression (log–rank Mantel–Cox test p < 0.0001), ruling out any weakening of the UAS-miR-1 effect due to a second UAS-based transgene, whereas it had no effect of its own when expressed alone. The driver used was repoGal4, ubi-Gal80ts. Between 80 and 180 female flies were assessed. *p < 0.05, ***p < 0.001, ****p < 0.0001.
