Comparison of ERPs for trials with high- versus low-amplitude responses estimated from the single-trial analysis. We divided trials into two groups according to the median split of the single-trial measures. We then recalculated the average ERP for trials of low-amplitude (red) versus high-amplitude (blue) estimates. The results in rows depict each of the RPs (left, center, and right channels), LRPs, and GFPs, and columns represent each of the four time windows from −1000 to 0 ms before movement. The time interval of each window over which the single-trial measures were estimated (for dividing high vs low responses) is highlighted by the shaded green area. We also plot the topographic map as the difference between the high- and low-response trials, computed within the highlighted time window for each ERP plot.
