Data acquisition and standardisation process utilising the WorldWide Antimalarial Resistance Network (WWARN) database. Individual participant data are shared by researchers to the WWARN secured portal (left panel). The studies are standardised using a common WWARN protocol and the tables of clinical, parasitological and drug measurements are stored in a secured repository with relational database (middle panel). On standardisation, the data set is shared back with the study investigator, and subsequently used in meta-analyses to answer questions of public health importance (right panel).
