CNO treatment of SKM-M3Dq mice promotes selective uptake of glucose into mouse SKM in vivo. SKM-M3Dq mice (M3Dq) and WT control littermates were fasted overnight and then injected with glucose (2 mg/kg i.p.) containing 10 μCi of [1-14C]2-DG, either in the presence or absence of CNO (1 mg/kg i.p.). Two hours after injections, mice were sacrificed, tissues were collected, and the [14C]2-DG-6-phosphate (2-DG-6-P) content was determined (see research design and methods for details). A–C: SKM tissues. DF: Non-SKM tissues. All experiments were carried out with male littermates that were at least 8 weeks old. Data are presented as means ± SEM (n = 5 or 6 mice/group). **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001 vs. WT (Student t test). m., muscle.
