Cell viability of SH-SY5Y cells was evaluated 24 hr after exposure to (A) MeHg (3 µM, n=5), (B) HgCl₂ (30 µM, n=5), (C) CdCl₂ (10 µM, n=5) or (D) H₂O₂ (50 µM, n=5). NAC (2.5 mM) or catalase (1,000 U/ml) was added 4 hr before the addition of heavy metals and H₂O₂. Data are expressed as a percentage of vehicle-treated cells (control).
