An ROS scavenger restored AgNP-mediated glucose uptake reduction in Candida albicans. Glucose uptake of (A) C. albicans and (B) Saccharomyces cerevisiae after culturing for 30 minutes in either the presence or absence of AgNPs. NAC was added to the culture 1 hour prior to addition of AgNPs. Data are presented as mean ± SD from two independent experiments performed in triplicate. **P<0.005, ***P<0.001.
