CFU/g values were measured to determine the bacterial loads in the wounds. Insulin treatment did not have any effect on the bacterial loads in chronic wounds of diabetic mice infected with the (A) PAO1 wild-type strain, (B) PAO1/Plac-yhjH strain and (C) PAO1ΔwspF strain. One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by the Tukey-Kramer multiple comparison test was used.
