Effects of ALA on autophagy in the heart, kidney and small intestine of CLP-induced septic rats. CLP induced significantly increased LC3II/I ratio, Atg5, beclin 1 and p62 expression levels in myocardium and kidney tissues. Except Atg5, no significant change was found in these autophagy-associated proteins in small intestine tissue.
