⁽¹⁾ Position of the furthermost pollen tube tip (PTT) was assessed in the pistil and score was based on the pistil anatomy: nucellar beak; PTT the micropylar region of the beak; and PTT in vicinity of the embryo sac. These variables relate to the proportion of pollen tubes at each of these milestones for pollen tube growth.
