Study flow chart. HLA antibody screening of 741 kidney transplant recipients led to the identification of 111 DSA-positive recipients. Eighty-six DSA-positive patients underwent protocol biopsies. For 83 subjects (study patients), adequate material for complement screening was available. Of those, 47 had AMR, and 21 showed capillary deposits of C4d.
