(a) Androgen Deprivation results in time‐dependent increase in TLK1B expression correlated with 4EBP1 phosphorylation. LNCaP Cells were grown in medium containing FCS (t = 0) then transferred to CSS during a 4 h time‐course. (b) The increased expression of TLK1B after ADT is mTOR dependent and suppressible with rapamycin. LNCaP cells were shifted to CSS for 17 h with and without rapamycin (20 nM) to inhibit mTOR, and cell extracts were prepared and probed with TLK1 antiserum.
