Locomotor activity in the general cage significantly increased after the stroke in the contralateral SSC. Circadian changes in spontaneous locomotor activity in general cage. Locomotor activity was measured using infrared motion sensors. The number of infrared-beam crossings per hour was continuously recorded and summarized. The activity significantly increased from 20:00 to 22:00 in the 2 week group. *p < 0.05, compared with Sham (Bonferroni test); **p < 0.01, compared with Sham (Bonferroni test).
