The second harmonic-responses (SNRs) in five ROIs, averaged across observers, at high contrast and medium contrast (a, b). For each stimulus configuration, the second-harmonic responses to the16.67 and 12.5 Hz surround gratings in contralateral ROIs were averaged. The black and white bars represent the SNRs to the flickering surround grating when the target was attended and ignored, respectively.
