Acute and subchronic effects of GSIs on normal cognitive function in younger Tg2576 mice (Experiment 3). A, Each drug was orally administered to Tg2576 mice (aged 3 months) for 8 d, and Y-maze tests were conducted on days 1 and 8. Both GSIs significantly and dose-dependently impaired normal cognitive function on day 8 but not on day 1. B, GSI-treated mice showed significant and dose-dependent increases in hippocampal β-CTF levels on day 8. *p < 0.05; **p < 0.01 compared with vehicle group by Dunnett's test.
