Duration-specific effects in putamen. During presentation of the Sample stimulus, APTD selectively attenuated timing-induced (*), but not color-induced, activity in left putamen for subsecond (540 ms) but not suprasecond (1080 ms or 1620 ms) stimuli. Measures of regional activity (β values) during the time and color tasks were extracted from the cluster displayed on the accompanying transverse slice of the canonical SPM template brain. The left hemisphere is on the left side of the figure. Effects are thresholded at p < 0.05 (small volume corrected). Error bars indicate SEM.
