Reducing brain 5-HT content or activity suppresses HAL-induced VCMs. Animals that received 5,7-DHT lesions of the DRN alone or in combination with the MRN exhibited lower levels of VCMs 2 weeks after surgery. Sham lesions, or lesions of MRN only, did not affect VCM levels (A).
