Cytoskeletal fraction samples were normalized to acetylated tubulin as protein controls. *Indicates endogenous full-length tau immunoreactive band. Values represent the mean ± S.E.M. from 10 independent experiments per condition. The levels of a given protein in non-transfected controls were considered 100%. *Differs from control values p < 0.05.
