Illustration of metrics. The DSC is computed as DSC=2ABA+B and may take values from 0 to 1. A larger number indicates better volume overlap. Hausdorff Distances are the minimum distances from every point in A to any point in B (e.g. red lines) and from B to A (e.g. blue lines). The maximum and mean of these distances are the HD max and HD mean. Smaller numbers indicate less extreme deviations between contour surfaces.
