Neuroprotective effects of compound 2 and analogues against Aβ_1-42-induced toxicity in human SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells via a MTT cell viability assay. Cells were incubated with 20 μM Aβ_1-42 for 24 h at 37 °C, in the presence (50 μM) or absence of each compound. The tests were performed in triplicate with 1% DMSO (Aβ) or 1.5% DMSO (Aβ + compound − maximum DMSO percentage presented in the graph). Results are presented as means ± standard error.
