Fluorescent confocal microscopy evaluation of P. aeruginosa PA-14 biofilms. Samples treated with Gal-NP show inhibition of biofilm formation. The biofilm morphology at sub-inhibitory concentrations of Gal-NP (e.g., 100%-modified at 9.75 μM) shows evidence of anti-adhesive properties of Gal-NP, which increase with higher concentrations.
