Morphine-induced analgesia was potentiated in Nox1−/Y. Time course of the effects of morphine (5 mg/kg or10 mg/kg) administered intraperitoneally. Top and bottom demonstrate morphine-induced analgesia against thermal and mechanical nociception, respectively. WT and KO represent control littermates (Nox1+/Y) and Nox1-deficient mice (Nox1−/Y), respectively. Values were obtained from 8 to 9 animals per group. *p < 0.05 compared with Nox1+/Y.
