The data were averaged across all participants and the dash lines and error bars represent ±1 SE. The bar graphs show the residual angular errors calculated by subtracting the baseline error. The horizontal lines above the bar graphs indicate significant differences. The error of the first rhythmic cycle was maintained at a small level, as in experiment 1 (Fig. 2), although the difference from the last discrete trial was significant for the Dis1s-Rhy group (B). However, for the Dis4s-Rhy group, a significantly large error reappeared in the second and third cycles (D).
