TF-1 KITD816V (2 × 106) cells were injected subcutaneously into NOD-SCID mice (n = 6 per group). When tumors reached 50−100 mm3 in size, the mice were treated daily with 100 µL of PBS or 100 µL of Stattic at 2 or 4 mg/kg/day. a Tumor growth was evaluated by measuring tumors with a caliper on the indicated days. b, c On the last day of the experiment, the tumors were dissected and weighed. df Targeting the effects of STAT3 on autophagy in vivo. d The tumors were ground, lysed, and then analyzed by western blotting using the indicated antibodies. e, f Quantification of western blotting (n = 4 ± SEM)
