Analysis of the expression levels of genes related to the defence response in citrus leaves infected with Xanthomonas citri ssp. citri (Xcc) and the ΔfhaB mutant by real‐time quantitative reverse‐transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT‐qPCR). RNA extracted from citrus leaves at 1 day post‐infiltration (dpi) with 107 colony‐forming units (CFU)/mL of Xcc and ΔfhaB mutant was subjected to RT‐qPCR to identify citrus genes related to the defence response. Grey bars indicate the expression levels of the genes in the ΔfhaB mutant relative to the expression levels of the wild‐type‐infiltrated leaves (white bars). Values are the means of three biological replicates with three technical replicates each. Error bars indicate standard deviations. Results were analysed by Student's t‐test (P < 0.05) and one‐way analysis of variance (ANOVA) (P < 0.05).
