Virulence of the complemented toxoflavin‐producing strains in rice according to changes in seed germination. (a) Damage to rice seeds. Pre‐germinated seeds of rice were inoculated with the bacterial culture [optical density at 600 nm (OD ₆₀₀) of 0.5], as described in Experimental procedures. The LB liquid medium was used as a negative control. The photographs were taken 7 days after inoculation. (b) The length of stems. Average length of the inoculated seeds was measured/calculated 7 days after inoculation. Each bar shows the standard error from five replicates.
