Gene expression patterns in E9G plantlets infected with Botrytis cinerea with dexamethasone (DEX) or dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) treatment. Eight‐week‐old E9G plantlets, which were irrigated for 4 days with 30 μm DEX or 0.18% DMSO (v/v), were sprayed with 300 μL of a suspension of B. cinerea with 10 mm glucose and 6.7 mm potassium phosphate (pH 6.0) or mock sterile H₂O containing the incubation buffer. Total RNA was extracted from leaf samples collected at every day post‐inoculation (dpi). cDNA analysis was performed by quantitative reverse transcription‐polymerase chain reaction (qRT‐PCR) amplification with specific primers designed by Primer 3 (Table S1).
