(A) Normalized tumor growth curve was shown every week after tumor implanted and the treatment was executed on Day 7. T1-weighted images were used to quantify volume using MIPAV software (NIH). There were six groups: Control (no treatment), 5-ALA, FUS, 5-ALA + FUS@32 °C, 5-ALA + FUS@37 °C, and 5-ALA + FUS@37 °C_MPs. Regardless of which baseline temperature is, sonodynamic therapy markedly inhibited the tumor growth as compared to control, 5-ALA alone, and FUS alone. Data are presented as mean ± SD. *Represents p < 0.05. (B) Kaplan-Meier survival curves of tumor-bearing rats with different therapeutics. Sonodynamic therapy significantly increased the lifespan of tumor-bearing rats.
