(b) SECM chronoamperograms, collected in the TC/SG mode, measuring photoelectrochemical water oxidation on a BiVO4 substrate in a pH 6.8 phosphate buffer (0.1 M HPO42–/0.1 M H2PO4) solution containing Ni2+ (bottom) and detection of the generated oxygen by a Au ring electrode (top). Measurements started in the dark, and UV–vis light irradiation started at 60 s and finished at 120 s.
