Mice were transplanted with 800 human islets (n = 9), with 800 islets + 600 DPS (n = 9), or were non-transplanted (n = 4). At the end of the follow-up, 3 mice transplanted with human islets alone and 6 mice co-transplanted with islets and ductal cells had developed hyperglycemia.
