No detection of muscle lesions at 5 years post injection. Perfused (tibialis anterior and gastrocnemius lateralis) and contralateral (tibialis anterior) muscles were collected at euthanasia (5 years post injection). Hematoxylin-phloxine-saffron staining was performed on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded muscle sections.
