Skeletal muscle hypertrophy and cardiomyopathy reduction following adeno-associated virus (AAV) vector and salmeterol administration. The effect of each treatment upon the change in body weight (BW) (A), gastrocnemius weight (B), and left ventricle weight/body weight (C) was evaluated. Groups were as follows: untreated controls (4 males, 4 females); salmeterol only (5 males, 5 females); AAV only (5 males, 5 females); and AAV + salmeterol (5 males, 5 females).
