The N-terminal (α1-α7) and C-terminal (α8-α14) halves are colored in green and magenta respectively. (B) Structural superposition of the N-terminal and C-terminal halves of the TMD. Structural features that are unique to the N-terminal half of the transporter (α5’) were removed.
