Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt placement procedures. Cases of portal hypertension with hepatocellular carcinoma underwent transarterial chemoembolization (A and B) first followed by TIPS (C and D). The tumor arterial supply was embolized and prominent gastroesophageal collateral vessels observed during the TIPS procedure were embolized with coils.
