Effect of VPA-induced PI3K/Akt activation on PPARγ pathway. L02 cells were treated with VPA (0, 0.5, 1, and 5 mM) for 24 h, and the protein expression of PI3K, p-Akt, and Akt was determined. A representative Western blot is shown (A, B). L02 cells were pretreated with a PI3K/Akt pathway inhibitor (LY294002, 10 µM) for 1 h and then treated with VPA (1 mM) for 24 h (C, D). Then, the protein expressions of indicated genes were measured by Western blot experiments. Results are expressed as mean ± SD (n = 3); *P < 0.05, **P < 0.01 compared with the control group; # P < 0.05 compared with VPA group.
