The ER+ breast cancer subtypes LumA (n = 70) and lumB (n = 61) have significantly lower miR-190b methylation comparing to the ER– subtypes HER2 (n = 15), Basal-like (n = 32) and 5NP (n = 7) (Kruskal–Wallis test, P = 1.19e–05 followed by Dunn‘s multiple comparison, ** < 0.001, *** < 0.0001).
