Phenotypes of proliferating cells in the rostral migratory stream (RMS) and dentate gyrus (DG)—Double-labeled immunofluorescence studies showed that in the RMS (A, B) most cells were BrdU+/nestin+ (arrow, A) and revealed the presence of GFAP+ filaments (arrow, B) surrounding BrdU+ cells (asterisk, B).
