Multielectrode array for the simultaneous DC recording of CDPs and electroneurograms of extensor (MG) and flexor (TA) nerves during scratching. The rectangle indicates the positions of the electrodes from which the CDPs (1–30, black traces) were recorded. Red and blue traces show the MG and TA electroneurographic activity, respectively. Note the sinusoidal-like shape of the CDP waves and the slow positive potential associated with the initial tonic firing of TA during this episode of right scratching. The signals were filtered at DC–500 Hz bandpass.
