Type III accessory navicular. Axial FSE T1 on a 60-year-old man with pain in the medial aspect of the foot, over the bony prominence of a type III accessory navicular (white arrow). Note a region of decreased signal and trabeculation of the subcutaneous fat over the prominence of the tuberosity (vitamin A marker). This suggests a degree of irritation of the surrounding tissues due to friction
