Salmonella prevalence. The overall proportion of samples positive for Salmonella (A). Dust, nest box and egg belts swabs exhibited the highest mean proportion of positive samples, but no significant difference was observed between sample types (P > 0.05). Average total Salmonella load (B) was highest for swabs collected from nest boxes, followed by dust and floor swabs. No statistically significant differences were detected between bacterial loads (P > 0.05).
