aThis table summarizes concentrations of total (labeled and unlabeled) metabolites in extracts of synaptosomes prepared from cerebral cortex obtained by HPLC. No significant differences were found in the concentrations of any metabolite measured, excluding aspartate (see Fig. 5) and alanine. Results are presented as mean ± SEM; n = 7–10 preparations (from 4 control or 5 synGLT-1 KO mice).
