Purkinje-cell-specific expression of Kv3.3 restores balance. On the 0.5 cm beam, mice of all genotypes improve their performance during the 5 d test (repeated-measures ANOVA, p < 10−8). Mutants carrying three Kcnc-null alleles (+/−; −/−) lose balance more often than +/+; +/− control mice (repeated-measures ANOVA, p < 10−6) and rescue mice (p = 0.001). Control mice do not differ from rescue mice (p = 0.30). Significant differences between +/−; −/− mice and +/+; +/− or rescue mice for each day are indicated (ANOVA, *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001). Error bars indicate SEM.
